Mrs. Peggy Elizabeth Pardue Knight, age 76, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 22, 2016. She was born December 11, 1939 in Lancaster County, SC. She was the daughter of Jessie Lee Pardue Sr. and Wilma Clontz Pardue, and the wife of Roy T. (Tommy) Knight. Mrs. Knight was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and cared deeply for the children there. She loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, cooking, working in her yard, and taking care of her birds. She was retired from Springs Industries.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband of 58 years, Tommy Knight; a daughter, Nancy Ackerman and her husband, Danny; a son, Ricky Knight and his wife, Susan; brothers, Ted Pardue, Harold Pardue; sisters, Maxine Efird and Diane Hinson; her grandchildren, Courtney Ackerman, Jason Knight (Tonya), Nicole Stroud (Will); and her great grandchildren, Laney Knight and Brooks Stroud; and lots of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Joyce Hudson and Shelby Starnes; and a brother Jessie Lee Pardue, Jr.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Knight will be 3:00 pm, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Mike Burgess and Rev. Ashley Brunson. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 3:00 pm Friday, September 23, 2016, one hour prior to the funeral service, at Zion United Methodist Church Family Life Center and suggest memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1665 Zion Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720.
