LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Peggy J. McManus, age 70, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born December 24, 1937 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late David McManus and Annie Carnes McManus and was the wife of Robert Laney McManus. Mrs. McManus was a homemaker and a member of Springhill Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. McManus is survived by her husband, Robert Laney McManus of the home, a son, Wayne C. McManus, a daughter, Angie Faile and her husband Mike, and a sister, Sally Roberts all of Lancaster. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. McManus will be 2:00 pm, Saturday afternoon, June 21, 2008 at Springhill Baptist Church by Rev. Brad Threatt with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 - 2:00pm in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Springhill Baptist Church, 2245 Old Camden Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
