Mrs. Pearl Caskey Phillips, age 89, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born August 18, 1918 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Ira Webster Caskey and Della Blackmon Caskey and was the wife of the late Elmer Phillips. She retired from Springs Industries - Lancaster Plant and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Phillips is survived by 3 brothers, James D. Caskey, I. W. Caskey, Jr. and Elliott Jack Caskey all of Lancaster. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Alfred Caskey, Ed Caskey, and Haskell Caskey, and 3 sisters, Edna Caskey Tillman, Mary Pittman, and Minnie Drye. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Phillips will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Bill Poore with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Phillips will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday evening, July 7, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Hospice of Lancaster, 902 West Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Calvary Baptist Church, 100 Barron Boulevard, Lancaster, SC 29720.
