LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Pauline Sims Hinson, age 91, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. She was born April 26, 1918 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late W. Jack Sims and Eula Blackmon Sims and was the wife of the late Amos Hinson. Mrs. Hinson retired from the Lancaster County School System as Cafeteria Manager of Central School and was a member of High Point Baptist Church.Mrs. Hinson is survived by a son, Ben C. Hinson and his wife Bonnie of Lancaster, a daughter, Nancy H. Blackmon and her husband Ben also of Lancaster, a daughter in law, Polly Hinson of Lancaster, a brother, Billy J. Hoagland and his wife Ruby of Niceland, FL, two sisters, Maudell Vincent and Eula Mae Baker both of Lancaster, 6 grandchildren; Ben Hinson, Jr. and wife Karin, Jackie Hinson and wife Dale, Greg Hinson and wife Melanie, Scott Blackmon and wife Robyn, Mark Blackmon and wife Susan and Kimberly Carter, and 14 great grandchildren; J.B., Chloe, Kolbie, Chandler, Olivia, Anna, and Hunter Hinson, Creighton and Christian Carter, Morgan, Mallory, Riley, Dabney and Sallie Anne Blackmon. Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by a son, Max A. Hinson, 3 brothers, W. J. "Bill" Sims, Charles Sims, and Furman Sims, a sister, Rosa Lee Shealy, and 2 grandchildren, Lynn Hinson and Max A. "Bobo" Hinson, Jr. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hinson will be 2:00 pm, Friday, March 26, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Cliff Wilson and Rev. Joe Hethcoat with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday evening, March 25, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Second Baptist Church, 1425 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster SC 29720 or Sherwood Baptist Church, Youth Fund, PO Box 813, Lancaster SC 29721. The Family will be at the home of Ben and Bonnie Hinson, 2745 Cane Mill Road, Lancaster.
