LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Patti Jewel Broome Kennington, age 66, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home. She was born June 30, 1955, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Charles Broome and Louise Moseley Broome and was the wife of William Eugene Kennington. Mrs. Kennington adored her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was such a loving person who was generous with time and love.  Mrs. Kennington devoted her life to taking care of others, attending sporting events, baking goodies and cooking for her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Kennington is survived by her husband of 48 years, William Eugene Kennington; a son, Eugene Buck Kennington (Brittany); a daughter, Mandy Kennington Faulkenberry (Brad); seven grandchildren, Haley Kennington, Peyton Kennington, Aydan Kennington, Briana Kennington, Cohen Kennington, Harley Kennington, and Brantley Faulkenberry; a great granddaughter, Kaisyn Starnes; and two sisters, Linda Blackmon, and Teresa Haupt.

Mrs. Kennington was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Kennington will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dale Walters. Burial will follow at Kershaw City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-11:00 am, one hour prior to the service.
