LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Patricia "Tricia" Jane Faile Steele, age 79, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1946, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Faile, Jr. and the late Sybil Leigh Starnes Faile.

Tricia had a heart that overflowed with love. She loved God deeply and was a woman of strong Christian faith. Tricia spent many cherished hours reading her Bible and journaling, finding comfort and reflection in putting her thoughts to paper. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family - especially her beloved grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Mimi."

She absolutely adored her animals and all animals alike and was a passionate supporter of the SPCA. She enjoyed cooking her "famous" homemade fried chicken, fried chicken livers, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese for her family. Tricia had a special love for Elvis, beach music, and the simple joy of being at the beach, where she especially loved shagging and soaking in the sunshine - embracing its warmth just as she embraced the many blessings of her life.

She is survived by her children, Donna Johnston (Michael), Lori Infinger (Bobby), and Jonathan Steele; seven grandchildren, Thomas Johnston (Katherine), Adam Johnston (Caroline), Carlee Moree (Jake), Lily Hayes (Ben), Ashlee Steele, Georgia Johnston, and Robby Infinger; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Landon, and Steele; numerous nieces and nephews; her sister, Rhonda Catoe (Roddey); her brother, Ron Faile (Tina); her significant other, Jackie Cockrell; and her former husband, Johnny Steele.

Tricia is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Faile and Sybil Faile; and a grandson, Jared Steele.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Tricia will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 2, 2026, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, Lancaster, SC, officiated by Rev. Dale Walters. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Burgess Funeral Home, Lancaster, SC.
