CONWAY, SC – Ms. Patricia "Patsy" Ann Todd Chryst, age 81, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. She was born May 30, 1943 in Lancaster, SC, daughter of the late William Neil Todd and the late Edith Jellen Crenshaw Todd. Ms. Chryst was a graduate of The University of South Carolina where she earned her Bachelor's Degree and is an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. She was a retired educator after teaching for over 37 years in Lancaster County and Horry County Schools. Following retirement, she spent many hours tutoring children who were behind in reading. Ms. Chryst was a cat lover and an avid reader and her goal every year was to read 100 books, and she accomplished that. She also challenged herself to do one crossword puzzle each day. Ms. Chryst loved studying history, especially the Civil War, and spent many vacations touring historic sites.

Ms. Chryst is survived by her sister, Nancy Alexander of Lake Wylie, SC; her two nephews, Todd Alexander (Tammy) and their children, Jenna Alexander, and William Alexander, and Craig Alexander (Andrea), and their children, Eli Alexander, Dr. Sutton Reamer (Jason), their son, Beau Thomas Reamer; her aunt, Diane Rhyner of Lancaster, SC; and many special family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Chryst will be held privately at a later date.
