LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Oveta McAteer Everall, age 85, of 1869 John Everall Road, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born November 3, 1923 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Ernest Ervin McAteer, Sr. and Ethel McGuirt McAteer and was the wife of the late Richard Odell Everall. She retired from Springs Industries after 41 years, was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School class.Mrs. Everall is survived by a daughter, Laura Everall of Lancaster, a brother, Lewis McAteer of Lancaster, and 2 sisters, Etta Hinson and Mayme Jo Robinson both of Lancaster, and her caregiver, Willie Mae Smith of Lancaster.Mrs. Everall was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Coleman McAteer, James B. McAteer, Andrew Brown McAteer, Sr., Ernest Ervin McAteer, Jr., Hayward McAteer and 3 sisters, Idell Belk, Elizabeth Gordon, and Doris Lemmond.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Everall will be 11:00 am, Saturday morning, February 7, 2009 at Zion United Methodist Church by Rev. Fred Davis and Rev. Mark Miller with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
