LANCASTER, SC::::::: Mrs. Ollie Mae Massey Knight, age 81, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at her home. She was born December 28, 1934 in Union County, the daughter of the late Jack Alvin Massey and Mary Elizabeth Webb Massey and was the wife of the late William Ferris Knight. Mrs. Knight retired from Springs Industries. She took pride in her work and always wanted to succeed. She was a member of The Red Hatters Club, enjoyed dancing and attending church socials. Mrs. Knight loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Knight was of the Baptist faith and a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Knight is survived by two daughters, Patricia Knight Price and Mitzi Knight Lucas and her husband J. B.; six grandchildren, Michelle Crimminger and her husband, Tony, Patty Newell and her husband, Brian, Jerimiah Pegram and his fianc, Jessie, Laura Lantz and her husband, David, Jonathan W. Johnson and Russell Price; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, William Ferris Knight; and a brother, Billy Jack Massey.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Springhill Baptist Church by Rev. Brad Threatt. The family will accept visitors at the home and suggest in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Burgess Funeral Home, PO Box 1743, Lancaster, SC 29721 to assist with funeral expenses for Mrs. Ollie Massey Knight.
