LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Ollie Bell Moree Hudson, age 92, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. She was born on December 15, 1933, in Pageland, SC, a daughter of the late Walter Moree and the late Janey Plyler Moree and was the loving and devoted wife of the late John Leroy Hudson Jr.

She found great joy in gardening, cooking, and taking walks. She was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was actively involved in her church and cherished her church family. Above all, family was the center of her world. She lovingly devoted her life to raising her five children and was blessed to also help care for and raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by the family she loved so dearly, and the love, wisdom, and memories she gave them will be treasured for generations to come.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by her; two sons, Nolan Scot Hudson (Cheryl) of Chester, SC, and John Leroy Hudson, III (Tracy) of Gaffney, SC; three daughters, Julia Hudson Craig (Monty), Linda Hudson Killough, and Brenda Gail Hudson, all of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Amber Morris (Jeremy), Ryan Killough (Jordan), Justin Craig, Brandan Craig, Trevor Hudson (Kelly), Kimber Tribble (Justin), Peyton Hilliard (Jeffrey), Taylor Hudson, Regan Hudson, John Leroy "Dru" Hudson, IV, Landon Parker and Coby Parker; her great grandchildren, Hudson and Emme Forrester, Ollie Morris, Brodie and Ryleigh Craig, Bryce and Kinsley Killough, Madi Ellis, Ethan and Christin Rhyne, Jacob and Leann Hudson, and Gracie Tribble; a brother, Troy Moree (Betty); a sister, Judy Yarborough; and two special friends, Francis Clifton and Ashlee Steele.

Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Leroy Hudson Jr., her son-in-law, Jim Killough; her parents, Walter Moree and Janey Moree; three brothers, J.C. Moree, Carol Moree, and Ronnie Moree; and two sisters, Willie Hicks and Ruth Myers.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hudson will be 11:00 am, Friday, August 14, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Patrick Blackmon and Dr. Ted Hodges. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am one hour prior to the service in the Sanctuary and suggest memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1841 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
