LANCASTER, SC ~Mr. Olin Daniel Newton, Sr., age 76, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 18, 1941 in Williamsburg County, SC, a son of the late John W. Newton and Mittie Martin Newton and was the husband of Brenda Joye Feagin Newton. Mr. Newton loved music and was a gospel singer for over 40 years. He enjoyed fixing BBQ every Christmas for his family and he loved to fish. He was a caring and loving grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Newton attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Mr. Newton is survived by his wife of 57 years, Brenda Newton; four sons, Danny Newton and his wife, Donna, Darryl Newton and his wife, Wendy, David Newton and his wife, Cindy and Donald Newton; one daughter, Patricia Pat Mackey and her husband, Ja; seven grandchildren, Kristen Anderson and her husband, Steven, Zach Figg Newton, Heather Graffam and her husband, Caleb, Tyler Newton and his wife, Whitney, Sara Newton and her fianc, John, Brandon Newton and his wife, Allison and Jon Ross Newton; three great grandchildren, Brantley Graffam, Scarlett Graffam and Brody Anderson; a former daughter-in-law, Susan Newton; and two sisters, Leona Morgan and Sissy Allen and her husband, Danny.

Mr. Newton was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Waymon Newton; a sister-in-law, DeeDee Newton; a brother-in-law, Bill Morgan; and a nephew, Jamie Morgan.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Newton will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Jimmy Lambert, Rev. John Cantey and Rev. LeGrand Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home of Olin and Brenda.
