LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Ola Stokes Moree, age 92, died Friday, June 5, 2009 at White Oak Manor where she was a resident. She was born July 15, 1916 in Bishopville, SC the daughter of the late Baum Sam Stokes and Mary Jane Stokes and was the wife of the late Robert Elwood Moree. Mrs. Moree retired from Springs Industries - Lancaster Plant Weave Room and was of the Christian Faith.Mrs. Moree is survived by her son, Grady Moree and his wife Patricia of Lancaster, a daughter, Shirley Varro and her husband John of Carbondale, IL, a brother, Jack Stokes of Bennettsville, SC, 5 grandchildren, Timothy Moree, Kenneth Moree, Kimberly Pappas, Brandon Varro, and Matthew Varro, and 3 great grandchildren, Gregory and Nicholas Pappas and Adrienne Moree. Mrs. Moree was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ernest, Leslie and Neal Stokes, and 4 sisters, Gennie V. Stokes, Lois Polk, Vertie S. Lucas, and Lucille S. Tarte.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Moree will be 11:00 am Monday, June 8, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Howell with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
