LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Norman Walden, age 78, of 4218 Strickland Court died Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born August 11, 1931 in Union County, NC the son of the late Vernon Walden and Ruby Donahue Walden Robinson and was the husband of the late Doris Hyatt Walden. Mr. Walden retired from Continental Tire and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Walden is survived by a son, Robin "Rob" Walden and his wife Kim of Myrtle Beach, a daughter, Teresa Walden and her husband George McCammon of Lancaster, a brother, James Walden of Clover, and a granddaughter, Michelle Kathlene Walden.The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Walden will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Cecil Johnson with burial to follow. Mr. Walden was preceded by a daughter, Norma W. Bolin. The Family of Mr. Walden will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, August 28, 2009 at the home, 4218 Strickland Court and suggest memorial contributions be made to Lancaster County Council of Aging, PO Box 1296, Lancaster SC 29721.
