LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Isom Luneke "Nick" Parris Jr., age 55, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 27, 2022. He was born August 21, 1966, a son of Joanne Parris and the late Isom Luneke Parris Sr. and was the husband of Tammy Pegram Parris. Nick enjoyed dirt track racing and attending his son's soccer games. He was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. Nick loved to spend time with his friends and family, especially his "Rose-bud". Nick was a former member of Eastside Baptist Church and was a current member of Camp Creek Baptist Church where he served on many committees.
Nick is survived by his wife of 30 years; Tammy Parris; his son, Josh Parris (Brianna); his granddaughter, Emelynn Rose "Rose-bud" Parris; his mother, Joanne Parris; his brother, John Parris (Nancy); two nephews, Nicholas Parris, and Daniel Pegram; his two nieces, McNeely Horne, and Dove Stair; his great-nephew, Koleson Parris; his mother-in-law, Linda Pegram; his sister-in-law, Pam Pegram; and a large extended family and friends.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Isom Luneke Parris Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Kenneth Pegram.
The Celebration of Life Service for Nick will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 30, 2022, at Camp Creek Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Mellichamp, Rev. Donald Tillman, and Rev. Donnie Starnes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at the home of Josh and Brianna Parris, 504 Chesterfield Ave., Lancaster SC, 29720. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
