LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Nancy E. Jewett, age 71, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born May 10, 1938 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Arthur Frank Gustafson and Lydia Carnes Gustafson and was the wife of the late J. T. Jewett. Mrs. Jewett retired from Winn Dixie as a security officer, was a member of the Loyal Order of the Women of the Moose where she had served as Past Recorder and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Mrs. Jewett was survived by her fiance, Prince Hinson of Lancaster, 6 step-children, Melvin Jewett and his wife Linda, Scott Jewett and his wife Rhonda, Lynn Jewett, Vickie Knight Roberts, Steve Hinson and Bobby Hinson and his wife Lynn all of Lancaster, a sister, Sonya Alexander of Springfield, VA, a brother, Wade Edwards of Winston Salem, NC, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Jewett was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Renee Jewett.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Jewett will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Crestview Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Robinson with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mrs. Jewett will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 in the church fellowship hall and in lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
