LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Myrtle "Polly" Myers Johnson, age 69, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at her home. She was born July 3, 1944 in Saluda, SC, the daughter of the late Ira Lee Myers and Nora Lee Anderson Myers. She was married first to the late Archie Caughman and later to the late William Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Beulah United Methodist Church in Gilbert, SC. She loved gardening and taking care of her flowers.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Richard Caughman and his wife Melissa of Lancaster and IRon Lee Smith of Gilbert, a step-daughter, Terry Lynn Zulkey of Twin Falls, Idaho, three sisters, Lucille Smith and her husband Roy of Newberry, Myrtis Ellison and her husband Walter of Waterloo and Audet Myers and her husband Stephen of Ridgeway, 5 grandchildren, Katherine Nicole Earhart, Cody Allen Smith, Danielle Rowe, Andrew Caughman and Sofia Caughman, and 2 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Earhart.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Johnson will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the home of her sister, Lucille Smith, 1054 Lakeview Road, Newberry, SC.

The Family of Mrs. Johnson will receive friends immediately following the service and in lieu of flowers, suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Drive, Columbia, SC 29210 or plant a flower in her memory.
