LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Myrtis Scott Phillips, age 92, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at White Oak Manor. She was born November 30, 1924 in Kershaw, the daughter of the late Leonard Scott and Zula Gardner Scott and was the wife of the late Earnest Phillips. Mrs. Phillips retired from Springs Industries. She loved to cook, work in her vegetable garden and deeply loved her church. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by two sons, Maxie Dean Phillips and his wife, Dorothy and Donald L. Phillips both of Lancaster; a daughter-in-law, Carol Reynolds of Kershaw; four grandchildren, Blake Reynolds (Tammy), Melissa Smith (Craig), Scottie Reynolds, and Shawn D. Phillips (Candice); nine great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Marty M. Reynolds and Michael W. Phillips; and a brother, Leonard C. LC Scott.
The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Phillips will be 11:00 am, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Curtis Cameron. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and suggest memorial contributions be made to Sherwood Baptist Church, PO Box 813, Lancaster, SC 29720.
