LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Myra Estridge McCants, age 79, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023. She was born April 3, 1944, in Great Falls, SC, a daughter of the late William "Doc" Marion Estridge and Buna Jeannette Scott Estridge and was the wife of the late Preston Dale McCants. Mrs. McCants enjoyed working in her yard and in her flowers. She loved giving surprise gifts to others and loving on her cats and kittens that she always welcomed with open arms. In younger years, Mrs. McCants loved going out on her pontoon boat at Lake Wateree with her son, Billy Dale. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. McCants is survived by her son, William "Billy" Dale McCants; her brother, William "Bill" S. Estridge, and his wife, Kathy of Rock Hill, SC; her sister, Marian E. Starnes; niece and nephews, Dawne Reddeck, and her husband, Keith, Michael Starnes, and Mark Starnes Jr., and his wife, Angie; two great nephews, Preston and Giffin Reddeck; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Whitesides, and her husband, Billy, and Marsha McCants; two brothers-in-law, Buck McCants, and his wife, Linda, and Jim McCants, and his wife, Brenda.

Mrs. McCants was preceded in death by her husband, Dale McCants; her son, Brent McCants; her parents, Doc and Jeannette Estridge; and her brother-in-law, Mark Starnes.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. McCants will be 11:00am Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at Grace-Lynwood United Methodist Church, 1905 Country Club Dr. Lancaster SC, 29720 officiated by Rev. Matthew Alexander.
