LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Mitchell Dale Starnes, age 45, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at his home. He was born October 25, 1979, a son of Betty Mae Starnes Starnes and the late Donnie Edgar Starnes. Mitchell enjoyed fishing and working on cars.  He was a very giving person who just loved being at home and with family. Mitchell was of the Christian faith.

Mitchell is survived by his son, Zachery Wyatt Starnes; daughter, Annabelle Grace Starnes; mother, Betty Starnes; brothers, Brian Starnes (Laura Whitney) and Rusty Starnes; sister, Crystal Starnes Buff (Thomas Wheeler); girlfriend, Katrina Helms; and aunts, Joan Barrett and Barbara Lee Snipes (Bill).

He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Starnes; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Atha Lee Starnes; and maternal grandparents, Robert Wyatt and Omie Lee Starnes.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
