LANCASTER SC ::::::::::: Mildred Crenshaw Taylor, age 80, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at White Oak Manor. She was born February 10, 1931 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Samuel Ezra Crenshaw and Annie Edna Stacks Crenshaw and was the wife of the late Hugh Wilson Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a retired Instructor for the Lancaster Vocational School, a member of the Springs Senior Circle and First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a son, Mark Steven Taylor of San Francisco, CA, 2 daughters, Janice T. Ketchum and her husband John of Meadows of Dan, VA and Lisa K. Dixon of Myrtle Beach, a sister, Mary Elizabeth Chappell of Kershaw, 5 grandchildren; Jeremy Taylor, Heather Dixon Greene, Amber Dixon, Tony Dixon and Ralph Dixon, and a great granddaughter, Taylor Greene. Mrs. Taylor was preceded by 4 brothers, Franklin Crenshaw, Ezra Brown Crenshaw, Elliott Morrison Crenshaw, and Jackie "Goat" Leroy Crenshaw, and a sister, Louise Crenshaw. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Taylor will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at First United Methodist Church by Rev. Joseph Curtis. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Taylor will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 608, Lancaster, SC 29721.
