LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Miss Mildred Kirk Harper, age 95, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born October 5, 1917 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late John B. Harper and Mary Kirk Harper. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church where she had served as custodian, Cub Scout Leader, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Morning Circle.Miss Harper was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Robert Harper, Charlie Harper and Luther Harper, and 5 sisters, Mae Caskey, Ellen Caskey, Agnes Harper, Leslie "Les" Hagins and Beatrice Cauthen.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Miss Harper will be 3:00 pm, Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2012 at St. Luke United Methodist Church by Rev. Bill McCown and Rev. Eddie Usher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Miss Harper will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and suggests memorials be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
