LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::::Mrs Mildred Laughridge Arnette, age 92, of 412 Chesterfield Avenue died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at her home. She was born January 27, 1919 in Maiden, NC, a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison Laughridge and Minnie Smith Laughridge and was the wife of the late Arthur Benjamin Arnette. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Glenwood Heights Baptist Church.Mrs. Arnette is survived by 2 daughters, Robin A. Byrd of Lancaster, and Susan A. Kendall and husband James of Atlanta, 2 sons, Edwin "Eddie" Lewis Arnette and his wife Linda and Arthur "Ben" Arnette, Jr. and his wife Angela of Raleigh, NC, a brother James Laughridge of Kershaw, a sister, Lily Brannen of Lake Norman, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Arnette will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Joseph Reed and Rev. Shane Owens. The Family will receive friends immediately following the services at the graveside and suggest memorial contributions be sent to Glenwood Heights Baptist Church, 600 Nichols Road Lancaster, SC 29720.
