LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. James Mitchell "Mickey" Stacks, 73, passed away on January 22, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 29, 1946 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late Sebbie Huey Stacks and Mildred Vincent Stacks and was the husband of Marlene Fowler Stacks.  Mr. Stacks served in the United States Army.  He was employed with Lancaster County Natural Gas Authority.  Mr. Stacks enjoyed fishing, classic cars, little league baseball, Carolina Gamecocks, and trips to the beach and the mountains. His passions in life was serving the Lord, his church and family. Mr. Stacks loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Mr. Stacks is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marlene Fowler Stacks; two sons, Monty Huey Stacks (Kelly), and Shawn Mitchell Stacks; four grandchildren, Brianna M. Stacks, Zayla I. Stacks, Dustin Byrdic and Mitch Stacks; a sister, Brenda Usher (Johnny) of Lancaster, SC; a brother, Crawford E. Vincent (Carol) of Oscar, LA; and a large extended family.

Mr. Stacks was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Second Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm.  Interment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Second Baptist Church, and suggest memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church, 1426 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720 or Hospice of Lancaster, 901 W. Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.
