LANCASTER, SC ~ Michaela "Micki" Caron Parker, age 60, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Novant Health Presbyterian. She was born April 10, 1961 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Mitchell Clayton Parker and Reba Gillespie Parker.  Micki earned her Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina.  She was an elementary school teacher for over 24 years and taught at Clinton Elementary, Kershaw Elementary, Sangaree Elementary, and Cainhoy Elementary. Micki was an avid Gamecock fan. She was passionate about spending time with family and friends, her dog, Bella, and spending time at the lake house. Micki was full of life and her motto was, "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade", which was passed down from her father.  She was a member of First Baptist Church where she gave her life to Christ in 1970.

Micki is survived by her sister, through thick or thin, Paula "PB" Parker Card and her husband, Gary; a nephew, William Parker Card and his two daughters, Evelyn Grace and Elloree Jane; a niece, Carolee Card Williams and her son, Leo; her significant other, Charles Cook; two grandchildren, Cayden and Alaina; a lifelong friend, Kelly Minerd Varnadore; and millions of great friends.

Micki was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Micki will be at 11:00 am Saturday, September 25, 2021 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Hatcher.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am, one hour prior, in the Family Life Center.
