LANCASTER, SC::::::Mr. Michael Wayne Wright, age 57, died Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home. He was born October 28, 1958 in Lancaster, a son of Donald Wright and Emmagene Evans Wright and was the husband of Crystal D. Catoe. Mr. Wright was an auto body mechanic, a loving father, husband, son, brother and brother in law. He gave everyone nicknames, loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and attended Springhill Baptist Church.

Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Crystal D. Catoe of the home, his parents, Donald and Emmagene Wright of Lancaster; three sons, Jason Wright and his wife Melissa of Colorado, Joesee Wright of the home and Christopher Small and his wife, Lauren of Columbia; two daughters, Lindsay Wright of Lancaster and Alee Bowers of Columbia, a brother, Steve Wright of Lancaster; three sisters, Candy Catoe and her husband, Terry and Penny Blackmon and her husband, Brett both of Lancaster and Crystal McKenna and her husband, Mike of Leesburg, VA; his mother and father in law, Billy and Amelia Catoe, a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Jimmy Herchek all of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Wright will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Mike Burgess and Rev. Brad Threatt.

The family welcomes visitors to their home and also at the home of his parents, Donald and Emmagene Wright. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Springhill Baptist Church Building Fund, 2245 Old Camden Monroe Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
