"Wildman" Pridgen

LANCASTER, SCMr. Michael "Wildman" Pridgen, age 69, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at his home. He was born May 13, 1947 in Spring Hope, NC, the son of the late James Leslie Pridgen and Margaret Mangum Pridgen and the husband of Susan Epps Pridgen. Mr. Pridgen was employed with APAC Oil Company as Superintendent of Highway construction. He lived life to the fullest and played by his rules. He had numerous friends, and was a fantastic friend to everyone. He had a good heart and always wanted to help everyone. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Pridgen was very much an outdoorsman, he especially loved his horses, camping, hunting, and traveling to the mountains. Mr. Pridgen served our great country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received a purple heart and bronze and silver stars for his bravery and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Pridgen was survived by his wife, Susan Epps Pridgen; three daughters, Brittani Pridgen, Jennifer Pridgen Howze and Maraea Pridgen Lopez and her husband, Carlos; eight grandchildren, Tanner, Brooke, Brock, Zayne, Gavyn, Gabriela, Juan and Sophia; and a sister, Jeanette Lowrey and her husband, Van.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Pridgen will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Lynn Hough.
The Family will receive friends from 12:00 2:00pm, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to Disabled Veterans, 1020 19th Street, NW, Ste. 475, Washington, DC 20036.
