Michael William Scheenks

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael William Scheenks, born on September 9, 1956. Michael was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought warmth, wisdom, and kindness to all who knew him.

Michael had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. Whether on a quiet lake or by a flowing river, he found peace and joy with a rod in hand and nature all around him. His passion for fishing was more than a hobby — It was a way of life that brought him both serenity and connection with those he loved.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Gadd and Holly (Connor) McClain, and his five treasured granddaughters: Kaylee Gadd, Rylee Gadd, Aleyna McClain, Marlie McClain, and Maddie McClain. Michael was a steady, loving presence in their lives and leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, patience, and quiet strength.

The family also wants to recognize Michael's cherished companion and her family –Rebekah Smith and her children: Chance Smith and Kayla Smith, and her granddaughter, Ella'Rose Goines. Predeceased by her son Bryan Smith.

He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
