JEFFERSON, SC::::::::: Mr. Michael Andrew Horton, age 38, died Friday, December 5, 2014. He was born April 3, 1976 in Lancaster, the son of Mark Andrew Horton and Addie Morris Smith. Mr. Horton was a Reserve Police Officer with the City of Lancaster Police Department. He was a devoted Carolina Panthers fan, loved lighthouses, golf, music and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Horton is survived by his father, Mark Andrew Horton and his wife Tammy of Jefferson, his mother, Addie Morris Smith of Spartanburg, a son, Chandler Hunter Horton, a daughter, Tristan Isabella Horton both of the home, a brother, Mark Anthony "Tony" Horton of Spartanburg and a sister, Brittney Horton of Wilmington, NC.

Mr. Horton was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Wayne Horton.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Horton will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2014 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Randy Mellichamp.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and in lieu of flowers, suggest memorial contributions be made to Michael's children, c/o Mark Horton, 9440 Taxahaw Road, Jefferson, SC 29718.
