Obituary

LANCASTER, SC::::::: Michael John Hadvab, 48, of Greenwood, SC passed peacefully on March 26, 2014 with his loving mother by his side. He was born July 10, 1965 in Pittsburgh, PA, and was the son of John and Audrey Hadvab.

Michael was a graduate of Franklin Regional High School where he played baseball for the Panthers. Later he attended Penn State University where he continued his play on the diamond. Mike worked as a cabinet craftsman throughout his life. He brought wood to life through his designs and skills. He loved the city of Pittsburgh and cheered on his favorite black and gold teams. Mike loved to cast his fishing lines, whether for sport or for fun, in the lakes and rivers throughout South Carolina.

He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. In addition to his loving parents, Michael is survived by his sister Lynn Hadvab Ferguson and her husband Al, his three nephews Nicholas, Andrew and Tyler. His extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Lancaster, SC by Father David Runnion. The family will receive friends, for Michael's life celebration and luncheon, at the Carol Ray Dowling Center on the campus of USC Lancaster immediately following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to Faith Home, PO Box 39, Greenwood, SC 29648.
