LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Michael Edward "Eddie" Mitchell, Sr. died Friday, June 14, 2013. He was born May 3, 1947 in Lancaster. He was the son of the late Michael Patrick Mitchell and Betty Rutledge Mitchell and was the husband of Bonnie Sinclair Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell retired from Bowater and served our great country in the United States Air Force Reserve. He loved the South Carolina Gamecocks, was an avid golfer and a member of First Baptist Church.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sinclair Mitchell of the home and a sister, Libby Mitchell Morris of Lancaster.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Michael Edward Mitchell, Jr. and a sister, Pat Mitchell McAteer.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Mitchell will be 11:00 am Monday, June 17, 2013 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Dr. Bert Welch. Burial will follow.

The Family of Mr. Mitchell will receive friends following the service and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
