FORT MILL, SC ~ Mr. Michael Edward Baxter, age 77, entered into rest on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his home.  He was born April 15, 1943, a son of the late Sam Baxter and Della Coyle Baxter and was the husband of Doris "Daiquiri" Cooper Baxter.  Mr. Baxter was a graduate of North Carolina State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.  He and his fraternity brothers remained very close and enjoyed golf outings and get togethers.  Mr. Baxter was a kindhearted and very thoughtful man who loved his family.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and loved coaching his children in soccer when they were young.

Mr. Baxter is survived by his wife of 51 years, Daiquiri Baxter; a son, Reid Baxter (Liz); a daughter, Karen Sullivan (J.T.); five grandchildren, Owen Baxter, Emerson Baxter, Carson Baxter, Trey Sullivan, and Parker Sullivan; and two brothers, Newt Baxter (Sally), and Keith Baxter (Michelle).

Mr. Baxter was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Baxter will be private due to the COVID 19 issues at this time.
