LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Michael Wayne "Mike" Baker, age 61, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Atrium Health-Union. He was born April 26, 1959 in Lancaster, a son of the late Gilbert F. Baker and Nancy Moore Baker Vinson and was the husband of Sheryl Bradburn Baker.  Mike was employed with ADM Corporation in Kershaw and was a maintenance reliability mechanic.  He loved his grandchildren who affectionately called him "Pawpaw".  He loved the mountains, the show American Pickers and he and Sheryl were best friends. Mike loved his four dogs and cat and working on small engines. He was an active member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, the Men's group and enjoyed helping his community.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sheryl Bradburn Baker; three daughters, Melissa Wendi Baker, Nicole Morris (Andy) and Baker Rogers (Sarah); three grandchildren, Drew Morris, Dax Morris and Sutton Rogers; and two brothers, Eric Baker and Daryl Baker.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Brandy Marie Baker.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mike will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Hopewell United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Candice Sloan. Due to the rising increase in COVID-19 infections, the family would like a private service. Like his daughter, Melissa says, "they don't make them like my daddy anymore."
