LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Mertie Mae Hopper Caskey, age 82, of 1004 Roberts Drive, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at her residence . She was born June 9, 1928 in Pineville, NC, the daughter of the late James "JJ" Hopper and Lucille Eubanks Hopper and was the wife of James D. Caskey. Mrs. Caskey was a homemaker and a member of First ARP Church. Mrs. Caskey is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Caskey of the home, a son, Mark Caskey and his wife Mitzi, a daughter, Della Ghent and her husband Butch both of Lancaster, a sister, Betty Rowell of Lancaster, 4 granddaughters, Stacey Pegram, Amanda Banholzer, Heather Scott and Kendall Caskey, and 2 great grandchildren, Madalyn Pegram and Chloe Scott.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Caskey will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at First ARP Church by Rev. Kyle Sims with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
