HEATH SPRINGS, SC ~ Ms. Melissa Ann Rollings Hopkins, age 52, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023. She was born February 6, 1971, in Lancaster, a daughter of Barbara Jean Stacks Rollings and the late David Lewis Rollings, Sr. Melissa enjoyed going to the beach, river, and anywhere where the sun was shining. She loved spending time with her family and taking care of others. She always had a helping hand. Her most joyous times were playing with her grandchildren. Melissa loved her three boys and was so proud of them.

Melissa is survived by her three sons, Chris Hopkins (Amanda), Jeffery Hopkins, and Brent Richardson (Heather Kirby); seven grandchildren, Emmarie Hopkins, Jaylen Hopkins, Kaydence Hopkins, Coralyn Hopkins, Quinlee Hopkins, Zane Richardson, and Jazmine Richardson; her mother, Barbara Rollings; her sister, Betty Hinson (Richard "Hank"); her significant other, Wayne Mangum; and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Rollings, Sr.; and her two brothers, David Rollings, Jr., and Tony Rollings.

The Celebration of Life Service for Melissa will be 3:00 pm Saturday, May 27, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.

The Hopkins family request that anyone that is able to attend the services for Melissa wear purple, as purple was her favorite color.
