LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Melissa McCarthy Eubanks, age 64, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born August 15, 1958, in Gastonia, NC, a daughter of the late William Blair McCarthy and Margaret Watts McCarthy and was the wife of the late George Eubanks. Mrs. Eubanks enjoyed working in the yard, going to the beach and the river, and playing with her granddaughters. She was very family oriented and loved spending time and making memories with her family and friends.

Mrs. Eubanks is survived by her son, Jason Eubanks, and his wife, Jessica; her two granddaughters, Lauren Eubanks, and Emma Suthard; her brother, Mike McCarthy, and his wife, Sandy; her sister-in-law, Joy Ghent, and her husband, Bob; special friend, Shirley Raffaldt; a large extended family; and many other special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Eubanks; her parents, William and Margaret McCarthy; and her two sisters, Cindy McKinney, and Teresa Lamb.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Eubanks will be 11:00 am Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Josh Harned. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home.
