LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Mavis Arant Faile, age 83, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at White Oak Manor where she was a resident. She was born October 12, 1927 in Lancaster County, a daughter of the late William Thomas Arant and Lillie Ellen Hicks Arant and was the wife of the late Jack Faile. Mrs. Faile retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church. Mrs. Faile is survived by a son, Ronnie Faile and his wife Wilma of Kershaw, 2 daughters, Judy Crump of Lancaster and Jewell Powell of Kershaw, 2 brothers, Ben Arant of Rock Hill and Tom Arant of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Margaret Faulkenberry of Kershaw and Faye Rollins of Pageland, 8 grandchildren: Phillip Faile, Ronda Rupert, Reid Crump, Shane Baker, Mack Stevens, Andrena Garris, Brandon Faile and Chuck Faile and 20 great grandchildren. Mrs. Faile was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Faile, five brothers, Woodrow Arant, Terrance Arant, JC Arant, Robert Arant, and Billy Arant and 3 sisters, Ruby Parker, Ann Cowan and Dorothy Johnson and a son-in-law, Donald Crump. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Faile will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Charlesboro Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Plyler. Burial will follow at Blackmon Cemetery. The Family of Mrs. Faile will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials to Charlesboro Baptist Church, 8701 Taxahaw Road, Kershaw, SC 29067.
