LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Mary Virginia OConnell Whitcomb, age 80, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017. She was born March 24, 1937 in Malden, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Roy Edward OConnell and Annie Helen Surette OConnell McMullen. She is the wife of Carl Eugene Whitcomb, Sr. Mrs. Whitcomb was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crafts and was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Whitcomb is survived by her husband, Carl Whitcomb, Sr.; a son, Carl Whitcomb, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Lancaster; a daughter, Debra Ann Whitcomb of Mason City, Iowa; three brothers, Buddy OConnell, Bobby OConnell and Johnny O'Connell all of MA, three sisters, Marilyn Olisky and Marie Love both of MA and Blanche Cardavelli of FL; two grandchildren, Christopher Whitcomb and Heather Marie Whitcomb; and two step-grandchildren, Tina Turbey and Richard Turbey.

Mrs. Whitcomb was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Henney OConnell.
