LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Mary Ellen Scott Stogner, age 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, August 3, 2024. She was born April 4, 1945, in Lancaster, SC, daughter of the late Cecil H. Scott and Sarah Carter Scott. Ms. Stogner loved to paint, go to the beach, go out to eat, sweet tea, and being with friends and family, especially her Kershaw girls and Carter Cousins. She was a social butterfly. Ms. Stogner was a member of First Baptist Church Lancaster.

Ms. Stogner is survived by her son, Chris Stogner (Cindy); grandson, Andrew Stogner; two nieces, Pamela Funderburk and Debra Watts; a nephew, David Scott (Molly); and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael "Mickey" Scott.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Stogner will be 4:00 pm Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Randy Hatcher.
