LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Mary Blackmon Salters, age 92, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Agape Nursing Home in Rock Hill. She was born May 3, 1918 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Thomas Mickle Blackmon and Margaret Creighton Blackmon and was the wife of the late Francis LeeRhett Salters. Mrs. Salters retired from Springs Industries and was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.Mrs. Salters is survived by 2 sons, Fred Salters and his wife Joyce of Lancaster, and Pat Salters and his wife Linda of McClellanville, SC, a brother, Harold S. Blackmon, Sr. of Union, SC, 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Salters was preceded in death by a son, Cary Salters, three brothers, Sam Blackmon, Boyd Blackmon and Edwin Blackmon.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Salters will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 27, 2010 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Jerald Starnes with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mrs. Salters will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 27, 2010 in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1138 10th Street, Lancaster, SC 29720. The Family of Mrs. Salters will be at the home of her son, Fred Salters, 2701 Pineview Drive, Lancaster SC 29720.
