LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Mary Penelope "Penny" Thomas Ryckeley, 64, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019.  She was born August 10, 1954 in Concord, NC, a daughter of the late James Thomas and Anne Cooke Thomas.  Penny loved crossword puzzles, listening to oldies music, painting her fingernails and getting her hair and makeup done.  She was very colorful and loved arts and crafts.  Penny had a great sense of humor, an awesome laugh and a great smile.  She was a friend to everyone.

Penny is survived by a son, Josh Thomas; two grandchildren, Aaron Josh Higgins and Samantha "Sami" Ashlynn Ryckeley; two brothers, Ronnie Thomas and Kenny Thomas; two sisters, Terry Thomas and Wanda Deese; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jerry "Pete" Stogner, Gennie "Beanie" Deese, Sara Warren and her husband, Jason Baker and their children, Kent Baker and Eli Baker.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will hold a private service for Penny at a later date.
