LANCASTER, SC::::::::::::: Mrs. Mary Lytle Barton Robinson, age 89, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 22, 1920 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late William Troy Barton and Mary Louise Williams Barton and was the wife of the late George Frank Robinson. Mrs. Robinson retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Robinson is survived by 2 sons, Morrison Robinson and his wife Jeanette of Liberty Hill and Bart Robinson and his wife Rachel of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Juanita Knight and Billie Snipes both of Lancaster, 3 grandchildren, Matthew Robinson, Philip Robinson and Mark Robinson and his wife Barbara and 4 great grandchildren, Paige Robinson, Payton Robinson, Savannah Robinson, and Emily Keifer.Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Slaton and 2 brothers, Max Barton and Paul Barton.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Robinson will be 3:00 pm Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Kathy Hudson with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Sunday afternoon and suggest memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 418, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church, PO Box 170, Liberty Hill, SC 29074. The Family will be at the home of her son and daughter in law, Bart and Rachel Robinson, 965 Greenoak Road, Lancaster.
