LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Mary Ellen Hyatt White, age 86, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at White Oak Manor of Lancaster, SC.  She was born December 6, 1932 in Chester, SC the daughter of the late Edward B. Hyatt and Eula Carroll Hyatt and was the wife of the late Tommy E. White.  Mrs. White loved gardening and playing cards with her family.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. White is survived by her three daughters, Janet Pardue (Richard), Linda Catoe (Mike) both of Lancaster, and Tammy White of Rock Hill, SC; a granddaughter, Christy Catoe; a brother, Eddie Hyatt (Beth) of Fort Lawn, SC; and four sisters, Jean Smith of Chester, SC, Carolyn Arant (Rev. Carroll) of Lancaster, Martha Ann Williams of Kershaw, SC, and Sara Daniel (Terry) of Chester, SC.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 48 years, Tommy White.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. White will be 11:00 am, Monday, May 6, 2019 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Hatcher.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Monday, May 6, 2019 in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 670, Lancaster, SC 29721.
