LANCASTER, SC ~ Ms. Mary Virginia Hunter, age 98, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024.  Born July 11, 1926, she was the last surviving child of the late Broadus W. Hunter and Flora Thompson Hunter. Mary retired as a timekeeper from Springs Industries and then worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonalds. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

Mary is survived by two nieces, Teresa G. Flowers and Susan S. Myers (Craig); and two nephews, Bishop Howard Flowers, Jr. and Michael "Mike" W. Flowers (Peggy).

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Odell Hunter, Clayton Hunter, Shannon Hunter; and sisters, Eva Mae "Johnnie" Stogner, Thelma Ingram, and Mildred Flowers.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mary will be 11:00 am Monday, December 30, 2024, at Westside Cemetery.
