LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Mary Frances Moore Hartley, age 73, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 surrounded by her family at home.  She was born November 12, 1945, the daughter of the late Henry Clem Moore and Myrtle Lear Moore and was the wife of Charles B. Hartley.  Mrs. Hartley retired from Springs Industries after 38 years.   She was a jewel, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She loved everyone and everyone loved her.  Mrs. Hartley was a great cook, and many sat around her table enjoying the meals she prepared. She always put others needs before her own, never met a stranger and everyone was welcomed at her home. Mrs. Hartley was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Mrs. Hartley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles B. Hartley; a son, Charles Wayne Hartley and his wife, Angela; a daughter, Shirley H. Brown and her husband Mitchell L.; two granddaughters, Breanna Marie Hartley and Ashley Michelle Hartley; four sisters, Rachel Hodge, Jennie Melton, Susie Rodgers and Betty Jo Eubanks; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, William Moore, Douglas Moore, Ellis Moore, and Ray Moore.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hartley will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2019 at Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1824 Airport Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720, officiated by Rev. Debra Whitesides.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her family to help with medical expenses.
