LANCASTER, SC~ Mrs. Mary Alice Rankin Evans, age 86, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at her home.  She was born August 28, 1933 in Lancaster, SC, the daughter of the late William Albert Rankin and Inez Neal Rankin Evans and was the wife of the late William Blake "WB" Evans, Jr.  Mrs. Evans was a great baker and enjoyed gardening, needlepointing, and cross stitching.  She worked for Lancaster County School District and was a wonderful homemaker.  Mrs. Evans was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Evans is survived by a son, Albert "Blake" Evans and his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Jean Stevens and her son, Corey Stevens; two grandchildren, Victoria Elizabeth Snipes and Steven Blake Evans and fiancée, Meredith Steen; a son-in-law, Eric Nesbit Stogner; and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, William Blake "WB" Evans, Jr.; a daughter, Kathryn Teresa Stogner; and her parents.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mrs. Evans will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2020 at Lancaster Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Jimmy Lambert.  The family will receive friends at the home of Meredith Steen, 842 Shiloh Unity Road, Lancaster, SC.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 901 W. Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720 and would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Evans' caregiver, Meredith Steen.
