LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mary Addis Ghent Clemmer, age 66, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at her home. She was born July 31, 1942 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Carl Harrison Ghent and Roxie Dunlap Ghent. She graduated from LaMarick Beauty School in Charlotte, NC and later taught cosmetology there. She was previously the co-owner of Lancaster Tours, was a member of the Women of the Moose and of Lynwood United Methodist Church.Ms. Clemmer is survived by her special friend, Thomas Barr of Lancaster, her former husband, Bob Clemmer of Lancaster, 3 daughters, Susan C. Hardin and her husband Roger, Robbie C. Dahl and her husband Jeff, and Sandra C. Haigler and her husband David all of Lancaster, 6 sisters, Betty Adams and her husband Jack, Joanne Hartley and her husband Jerry, Marty Burgess and her husband Mike, Evelyn Finch, and Barbara Barrett all of Lancaster, and Pat Barton and her husband Richard of Simpsonville, and 6 grandchildren, Bobby Shane Hardin, Ryan Hardin, Marc Rape, April Rape, Jessica Haigler, and Byron Haigler. Ms. Clemmer was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bobby C. Ghent and Johnny M. Ghent. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ms. Clemmer will be 3:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steven Clemmer and Rev. Wayne Dickson with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday evening, March 6, 2009 at Hartley Funeral and suggest memorial contributions be made to Hope of Lancaster, PO Box 166, Lancaster, SC 29721. The Family will be at the home of her daughter, Robbie Dahl, 2311 Airport Road, Lancaster.
