LANCASTER, SCMr. Marvin Eugene Shehane age 78, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home. He was born September 17, 1937 in Lancaster, the son of Johnny Tillman Shehane and Thelma Louise Cauthen Likens and was the husband of Kathleen Caskey Shehane. Mr. Shehane enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and carpentry work. He loved crappie fishing with his son at Lake Wateree. He was a Life-long member of the Jackson Masonic Lodge. Mr. Shehane was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church, where he devoted many hours of service to his church and Faith Christian School.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathleen Shehane; a son, Mark Shehane; two daughters, Pansy Marie Wilson and Carla Deanne Bell and her husband, Scott; five grandchildren, Justin Kent Shehane, James Logan Shehane, Mitchell Scott Bell and his wife, Natalie, Allison Marie Bell and Abby Leanne Bell; two great grandchildren, Maverick Scott Bell and Nathan Boyd Bell; two sisters, Judy Summer and her husband, Bob and Stella Funderburk West.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Shehane will be at 4:00 Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church by Rev. Gerald Eaves, Rev. Dan Waters, and Rev. Jimmy Fore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 4:00 in the church sanctuary at Faith Baptist Church and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Jackson Masonic Lodge 53, PO Box 305 Lancaster, SC 29721 or Faith Baptist Church, 4695 JB Denton Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
