LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Marvin Eugene Knight, Sr., age 74, of 205 S. Catawba Street, Apt. 235 died Sunday, December 06, 2009 at his home. He was born November 8, 1935 in Concord, NC, the son of the late Walter Furman Knight and Sara Kennington Knight. Mr. Knight was a retired electrician and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Knight is survived by 2 sons, Marvin E. Knight, Jr. and his wife Emily and Walter Rusty Knight both of Lancaster, 3 daughters, Brenda Kay Whitaker, Cathy Knight and Audrey Mullis all of Lancaster, 2 brothers, Richard Knight and his wife Judy and Carl Knight and his wife Sherry both of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Sandy Howard and her husband Robert of Winnsboro and Judy Belk and her husband Richard of Charlotte, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and other loved ones, Louise Casey, Scott, Brandy, Amber and Kameron, "Hot Shot" Mungo and Tyler Jenkins. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Furman and Donald Knight, a sister, Elsie Wright, a grandchild, Jake Knight and his former wife, Catherine Knight. The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Knight will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Taylor's Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Douglas Pate with burial to follow. The Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 pm Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, Lancaster Co.
