LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mr. Marvin Eugene Knight, Jr., age 60, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born May 9, 1955 in Greenville, SC, the son of the late Marvin Eugene Knight, Sr. and Catherine Schwartz Knight and was the husband of Emily Blackmon Knight. He was employed with Springs Memorial Hospital and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He served our country in the United States Army and was a member of Taylor's Grove Baptist Church

Mr. Knight is survived his wife, Emily Blackmon Knight of the home; a son, Trey Knight and his wife Danya of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Justin, Natalie, Adam and Pressley Knight; a brother, Walter Frances Knight of Lancaster; and three sisters, Brenda Kay Whitaker of Heath Springs, Cathy Knight of Lancaster and Lynn Knight of Heath Springs.

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by a son, Jake Knight.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Knight will be 3:00 pm Monday, May 18, 2015 at Taylor's Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Tommy Howell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 pm Monday in the church fellowship hall and in lieu of flowers, suggest memorial contributions be made to Taylor's Grove Baptist Church, 2382 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the American Heart Association, Tribute Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
