LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Marvin Alan Catoe, age 56 passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born September 23, 1960, the son of the late Clyde Franklin Catoe and Roxie Leigh Nichols Catoe and the husband of Lisa Starnes Catoe. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping. Marvin loved to joke and laugh. He enjoyed working behind the scenes and helping anywhere he could. Marvin loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and was a former Chairman of Deacons.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Lisa Starnes Catoe; a daughter, Andrea Catoe Hudson and her husband, Matthew; a son, Justin Alan Catoe; and a brother, Darrell Catoe and his wife, Teresa.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Frankie Catoe and Mike Catoe.

The Celebration of Life for Marvin will be 3:00 pm Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church by Rev. Jessie Adams, Rev. Catlin Rollings and Rev. Jack Nunn. Burial following in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Saturday evening, September 16, 2017 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Pleasant Dale Baptist Church Matching Grant Fund, 133 South Potter Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.
